Before you restart
- Log in and confirm you still have full control of the ad account.
- Open Account Quality and look for any old restriction.
- Update the payment method to one in your own or your business name.
- Check the business details, Page and domain still match what you sell now.
Things that often changed
| Then | Now |
|---|---|
| A personal profile ran the ads | A business portfolio may be needed |
| An old card on file | It may have expired or been removed |
| A Page with an old name | The Page and the business may no longer match |
| A former staff member was admin | They may still have access |
Start small
A sudden large budget on an account that has been quiet for years can draw checks. Start with a modest daily budget, keep the first ads simple, and raise spend in steps.
If the account was disabled long ago
Look at the status in Account Quality. If it says the decision is final, the review option may no longer exist. Read our lost access to a business portfolio guide if the account sits in a portfolio you cannot reach.
