Instagram account linked to the wrong business portfolio

If an Instagram account sits in a portfolio you do not control, you may not be able to run ads from it. Move the link to the right portfolio, with the owner's help if needed.

Check

Which portfolio the Instagram account is connected to.
Who administers that portfolio.

Fix

Ask the current admin to remove the link.
Connect the account to your portfolio.
Check that ads use the right identity.

If the admin is unreachable

Use Meta's full control request if you own the business.
